Ch10:Chasin' Greyson

Jenny and Luna were laughing their heads off on the Hogwarts grounds. Luna had just told the funniest knock-knock joke and Jenny didn't have the slightest clue what a knock-knock joke was.

"You know," Jenny said, panting. "I still don't know what a knock-knock joke is".

"It's like- hey, what's Greyson doing?" Their professor was in-fact walking towards the Forbidden Forest carrying a shovel.

"I dunno, d'ya want to go and see" Jenny asked watching him disappear.

"But how?" asked Luna puzzled. Jenny did a face palm.

"I think you're forgetting that you have an invisibility cloak. Luna opened her eyes in realization then said

    "Oh, Yeah!"

Jenny's eyes widened. "Wait, what? I thought you were going to refuse, I can't fly!".

Before Jenny could get away Luna was already pulling out brooms from a nearby broom closet. She swung her legs atop one and nudged her head to the other one.

Jenny gulped and got on the other broom. Then she and Luna pushed off at the same time and shot towards the sky.

Luna was flying naturally but somewhat awkwardly. She hadn't really flown much before.

When she was 5 she tried to fly with her father coaching her, but she had fallen off and never attempted it again.

Suddenly, Luna nearly fell off as she tried to steady herself. She thought to herself "Don't be a scaredy-kneazle Luna!" and sped off after Jenny.

They flew above the trees until they spotted Greyson. He was patting something into ground then he looked around and started sprinting back to the castle. Luna and Jenny started flying back. When they were over the lake something slipped from Luna's neck. "My necklace!" she exclaimed.

The necklace was her most treasured possession . It was gift from Clayton King, who had been Clayton Malfoy at the time. It seemed silly to treasure so deeply a gift from her current enemy, but  Luna had vowed to never tell lies with it on, and the only way she would take it off was if she was about die. Without thinking about consequences she dove down to catch it. She was about to plunge into the lake when she grabbed it and swooped upwards last second so that only the tip of broom was wet.

When they landed Luna was elated, "Maybe I could try for Quidditch" she wondered excitedly. She turned to Jenny to ask her her opinion on the matter but saw a horrified expression on her face. She gulped and slowly turned around to find herself facing the one and only, head of her house, Derrick DiCarso.
